London Kink Therapy

About Me

Sarah Berry

I am Sarah Berry, a psychosexual & relationship therapist who can work with individuals, couples, poly folk, play partners and Dominant/submissive relationships.

How I got here

I've worked as a sex journalist for 15 years and was lucky enough to get a job as staff writer on kink-friendly magazine Forum, eventually working my way up to editor. I threw myself into a world of fetish and sex clubs, munches, markets and parties eager to find out who I was and be the best sex & relationship journalist that I could. I interviewed 1,000s of people about their carnal exploits and learned that there are many ways to achieve satisfaction.

My Therapy Experience

Having worked through my own psychosexual issues, I was eager to help people be happy in their sexual and relational lives and decided the next step towards this was to become a therapist. I set up Fannying Around, a group that helped women connect with their vaginas and to express their sexuality. Amongst the guest speakers were a queer club runner, a female pornographer and a fisting expert. I've featured in publications including: The Telegraph,DIVA,The Daily Mail, Metro, The Huffington Post, The Evening Standard, Time Out, Company, Fiesta, Forum, Men's Health and Scarlet. I have been a guest on Radio 4's Women's Hour and various shows on LBC.

Training

  • I have a PGDip from London Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy, which is NCP approved and accredited by Middlesex University;
  • an advanced diploma in Couples Therapy awarded by the NAOS Institute
  • a certificate in sexual compulsivity from the Marylebone Centre

  • and I have also attended the Pink Therapy Alternative Sexualities courses where we explored kink, fetishes, BDSM, asexuality, compulsive sexual behaviour, condom use (particularly in relation to HIV), gender dysphoria, pansexuality and bisexuality. Many of these areas are skipped over in conventional sex therapy courses.
